We tend to put people in boxes… We classify them by their income, gender, age, race, and other areas. But I believe we can simply put humans into 1 of 2 areas…

No matter where a person is in life, they always have something to be grateful for. If you are always focusing on what you don’t have instead of what you do have, happiness will be fleeting.
If this is an area you have trouble with, we suggest keeping a journal of daily gratefulness. Each morning, write down something you are especially grateful for. Every night, write down something you were grateful for during that day.
Live A Happy, Healthy And Harmonious Life #2: Actually, Listen To People
We believe it has been bred into humans… We tend to just “catch” the gist of what another person is saying and while they are still talking, we are forming our response. We don’t actually listen to their complete statement and often, the person can tell that and it causes issues in the conversation.
Break the cycle!
Instead of hearing, listen. Listen to each and every word the person is saying. Yes, you will be tempted to start forming a response in your brain. You need to overcome that temptation and keep listening intently.
So often we respond improperly because we did not listen to the whole message the person is giving. So do yourself a huge favor to live in harmony with your fellow humans… Listen!

I once heard some wisdom from a family elder that has stayed prevalent in my thoughts for years…
He asked me to perform a task and I said I would try. Telling me to sit down in a chair in front of him, he told me to try to get out of the chair. Standing up, Grandpa told me that I didn’t try. I sat back down and in slight confusion, I slightly boosted myself and stayed sitting in the chair.
Grandpa smirked and explained that every dictionary on Earth has the definition of try “out of whack.”
You see, the only way try is a word is when there is a Judge, Attorneys, a Defendant and a Court of Law.
There is no other try because you either do something or you don’t.
Where am I going with this?
Too many humans are going after that word that isn’t a word. They think they are trying. They are not committed. If you commit to the task, it will get done usually. You are committed and if it doesn’t get completed, at least you gave it your all.
Never say “I will try;” the words are “I will do it” or “I won’t do it.”

If only people would follow what they dream when young…
But adults mislead us into following what they think is best for us. We may go ahead and attend medical school, law school or West Point and hate every minute of it.

These thought patterns are most damaging to those who have them.
Where I am going with this is… you can live a harmonious and happy life if you allow people to believe and do what the desire as long as it is not harming you or those you love. You don’t have to like something or accept it, but do not force your beliefs on another person and harmony can be achieved.

There are so many types of foods in the world. Those who tie themselves down to a certain set of foods are not gaining nutritional substances that are available in other foods. And what amazes me is when a person will not even taste something just because it doesn’t look appetizing. But they will quickly chomp down that fast food hamburger.
I guess they didn’t look closely because those things do not have the best appearance.
There are many exotic fruits and vegetables that do not look appealing, but when you eat them, they are wonderful… Plus they are full of vitamins and minerals.
So taste other foods. You just may discover some foods you love but would have never known unless you tasted them.
