There are a plethora of websites and people who tell us to keep our bodies healthy…
- Eat right
- Take supplements
But when we delve deep into the subject, it all starts at the brain.
If you want more energy… It will start at your brain.
Do you want a healthy heart? You need a healthy brain.
- lose weight
- run faster
- climb mountains
- deep sea dive
You need a healthy brain.
In today’s post, I am going to give you 8 tips to keep your brain healthy and sharp. I suggest you write these down or print them and refer to these tips on a regular basis. Because your brain is the #1 organ you must keep healthy to ensure the rest of your body is healthy too.
“The human brain has 100 billion neurons, each neuron connected to 10 thousand other neurons. Sitting on your shoulders is the most complicated object in the known universe.” Michio Kaku
Healthy Brain Tip #1: Learn Something New Every Day
The brain needs to be challenged!
By making sure you learn something you didn’t know each day, you will enlarge your storage capacity. Science calls this your cognitive reserve.
We see so many people “tuning in to tune out,” and we wonder why Alzheimer’s and other memory diseases have grown. I am not saying that because someone you love who has one of those diseases just “tuned out,” but science is being directed in that area where we have allowed non-learning technology become a priority in our lives.
Someone once said that if you do not learn something new today, you wasted your day.
“The human brain starts working the moment you are born and never stops until you stand up to speak in public.” George Jessel
Healthy Brain Tip #2: Physical Exercise
While it may seem like I am contradicting myself from the opening paragraphs of this post, you need to realize that our complete system must work in joint fashion.
Our brain needs oxygen-rich blood delivered to it on a regular basis.
When you jog, bike, do push ups, sit ups or any number of any other exercises, you are helping “pump” that blood to your brain so it can function at 100%.
“The chief function of the body is to carry the brain around.” Thomas Edison
Healthy Brain Tip #3: Socialize
By getting out and having fun; meeting new people and socializing, your brain is also experiencing the fun and it helps it to release stress and relax. It helps us feel appreciation and gratefulness.
Our brains benefit more than we realize from this interaction with others.
There are many ways and places to socialize:

- and many more
So you can integrate tip #3 with this tip and exercise your mind while also socializing.
“A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.” Louis Nizer
Healthy Brain Tip #5: Get Your Omegas
One thing that our bodies do not produce but require are Omega 3 fatty acids. They are extremely important for many of our vital organs, especially our brains.
Scientific research has shown a direct link in low levels of Omegas and diseases such as Alzheimer’s and other memory loss issues.
This is why the iGalen team worked hard at developing a supplement that would cover the needs described here. Working for and with renowned scientist Stefano Scoglio and studying Klamath algae, Klamax was developed. And it comes from the gorgeous Klamath Lake in Oregon.
Klamax has many benefits for the brain and other bodily functions:
- Improving mental focus and intelligence
- Prevention of degenerative diseases
- Skin maintenance and repair
- Cardiovascular health
- Stress Relief
- Improved energy and sex drive
- Improved immune system
- and much more
You can learn more about the iGalen product Klamax here.
“If the human brain were so simple that we could understand it, we would be so simple that we couldn’t.” Emerson M. Pugh
Healthy Brain Tip #6: Add To Your Skill List
I suggest choosing a new skill to learn that can help you in your career, business, family, or any other area that will benefit you.
It could be a skill such as
- wood or metal work
- automobile maintenance
The list goes on and on.
Read books, take courses or get a mentor. By learning new skills, you are keeping your brain active and becoming more valuable in the areas I listed in the 2nd paragraph of this tip.
“Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, brain and spinal cord disorders, diabetes, cancer, at least 58 diseases could potentially be cured through stem cell research, diseases that touch every family in America and in the world.” Rosa DeLauro
Healthy Brain Tip #7: Join The Positive Revolution
When we consider everything in the world, it is made up of positives and negatives. And it does seem that many negatives have been overriding positives.
But, we have the power to overcome those negatives and in doing so, it will help our brains stay healthy and sharp.
By maintaining a positive mental attitude!
Stress is a leading cause of disease and death and stress comes from negative attitudes. So make a decision to stay positive no matter the circumstances.
It is amazing what positive can do for you, your business, your family and everyone who comes in contact with you.
“The brain is the organ of destiny. It holds within its humming mechanism secrets that will determine the future of the human race.” Wilder Penfield
Healthy Brain Tip #8: Get Your Blood Sugar Under Control
Diabetes has become a worldwide problem. It comes from humans ingesting too many refined sugars and starches. The body cannot control these nasty carbohydrates on its own and it leads to diabetes which then causes many other issues with internal organs.
It is imperative that you control your blood sugar.
Again, iGalen’s scientific team recognized this terrible problem and set out to solve it. What came forth was iGalen’s flagship product… Emulin.
Emulin is a supplement designed to overcome the negative effects carbohydrates have on your body.
You see, Dr. Joseph Ahrens developed Emulin which came natural in some unprocessed foods. But because of the processing systems, Emulin is taken out, so it needs to be replaced via supplementation, hence the iGalen product Emulin.
You can learn more about Emulin by clicking here.
So by controlling your blood sugar, you are helping your brain stay healthy because that perfect blood mix travels to your brain.
“The human brain had a vast memory storage. It made us curious and very creative. Those were the characteristics that gave us an advantage – curiosity, creativity and memory. And that brain did something very special. It invented an idea called ‘the future.'” David Suzuki
